Self-made herring with Västerbotten cheese, lemon, roe and dill will certainly be appreciated! Suitable just as well in midsummer as for the Christmas table or Easter.
200 g 5-minute herring
50 g of roe
2 1⁄2 dl crème fraiche
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1⁄2 dl Västerbottensost®, crumbled
1⁄2 lemon, finely grated peel
3 tablespoons chopped dill
3 tablespoons chopped chives
1⁄2 krm salt
1⁄2 pinch pepper
Herring with Västerbotten cheese®, lemon and roe
Cut the herring into smaller pieces.
Mix together the rest of the ingredients and stir in the herring.
Let stand at least 2–3 hours before serving.
Top with roe and Västerbotten cheese.
